[ eiden doesn't hear it until he's leaving the cafe with rei and olivine, the lot of them finally freed of maid duties. as he's riding in the carriage back, it's kind of a shock when the notifications start pouring in. the lot of them aren't given the opportunity to travel worlds (at least not unless they've had that power to begin with) but the phone is the next best thing.
which means eiden sits between two people who care very much for him with a slowly dawning horror creeping over his face. he's not sure how to handle it actually, because there's a helplessness as he's literally reading the worst light novel from the point of view of shen yuan's ranting and raving texts.
of course they finish pulling into the aster's manor by the time the message barrage ends, and eiden can't help but be left wondering just where exactly shen yuan plans to go next? maybe there's one last text he's waiting for, the one where it says "it's over" or even some semblance of coy/shy/flustered "i'm on the way." regardless, he can't go anywhere himself, he's no sorcerer proper... so he asks for a hot meal and an extra place setting maybe with the hope that the fleet of texts means that... well. it's truly over.
